RUNNING FREE

I try to tell a story with my art and I want to share some of the stories behind the sculptures I have created. chrisnavarro.com RUNNING FREE Bronze, 12” x 26” Wild horses are herd animals and, when possible, live in groups. Each herd has a lead mare that is in charge of the day-to-day running of the family group, thereby keeping the herd safe. She also determines the routes to be taken when they move. The head stallion, meanwhile, will push from the rear, keep the band together, and provide protection from predators and other stallions.
